Quiltie fun

You've read about the

 Sandra Kaye Designs Quiltie Trade/Swap 

here a couple of times, these are my quilties that I embroidered for August's swap.

The theme was "stitches" and these little blocks I had were just the ticket!

I think this pup was hoping to roast that "dog" right where it lies.

There has been no reprieve from this weather save for two nights of having to actually hide under the covers.

I did manage to get the backing sewn together for my

Great Granny Along quilt and since there was so much of the pink floral 

  I decided that it was perfect.

I'm not a huge fan of pink so on the back of a quilt is just fine.

Every other month we are given a theme and we can take that and run with it to create

4 ~  4" x 6" QUILTIES

everyone mails their 4 QUILTIES to Sandie {including a SASE}

and when all the quilties for that month have arrived Sandie distributes 3 QUILTIES

back to each participant. Sandie keeps one QUILTIE in exchange for the return postage!

It's  fun waiting to receive your package, opening it up to see the  postcard

size creations from all over the world that have arrived.

Welcome to my World

My space may not be big and spacious like some

My space may not have all the bells and whistles like others

But it is my space and it's my little bitty slice of heaven,

adorned with some of the quilties from Sandie's swap

(scroll down my sidebar and give the button a push to join the fun).

A couple of minis and that green "quilt" above was "made" by my youngest

and his classmate  when I was feeling rough.

I'm hoping hubby picks up a cabinet today in the city so I have a place

to keep my fabrics together, I've misplaced my

Beatrix Potter fabrics after our basement flooded and have yet to locate them.

Finishes and a visit

I'm back on track, somewhat, and have finished 5 quilts for donation.
