IT'S ALL ABOUT ME or is it?

*
Once again Madame Samm has come up with a doozy of a Blog Hop!
"IT'S ALL ABOUT ME".
This hop has been, I think, one of the funniest yet.
Amy Bradley has gifted us with a wonderfully comical gal,
I'm not sure whether to take her seriously or not.
Marlene has done a bang up job of cheerleading  this bevy of
Bodacious Babes, (that would be us gals).
Thank you one and all!

Here they are with all the sagging boobs and funky hair you could want ;)

These are the sweethearts that are offering up their eye candy on this, the final day.
*
I decided to make a pillow for our boudoir.
*
*
A  heart of random reds, surrounded by hot pink, bordered with baby pink
and shades of brown "chocolate bon~bons". The bon~bons have hearts quilted into each one
and I FMQ a heart in red. There's a flange around the edge and the back is finished with
an over lap pocket.
The maple leaves are a nod to my Canadian side and the crayons are for my boys.
The snowmen and snowflakes are a tribute to this winter's crazy amount
of snow we're experiencing this winter along with so many of you folks near and far.
*
Keep your snow shovels, blowers and throwers handy my friends cuz
"it ain't over til it's over"!

This just in.....
we're expecting  more snow...20cm  so they say!
Check out this talented group of sculptors,

My Stuff Blog Hop, FMQ

HI !!

*
Marlene, from STITCHIN BY THE LAKE
has invited me to share a little bit
about myself during
"I Want to Get to Know You".
So here goes,
*
I'm a wife of 15+ years to my #1 guy,
we have 2 fantastic boys together,
I am  step mom to #1's first born which is a bit comical (I'm 49 my stepson is 37),
I'm  Grams to 2 gorgeous grandchildren,
I'm a foster mom to 2 kiddos too.
Before wearing all these hats, I thoroughly enjoyed the creativity offered to me through goldsmithing.
I began my apprenticeship with my Father, a journeyman himself, at 16 when I left high school.
*
*
The tools of my trade.
*

I am going back into this field later this year, all plans falling into place.
*
Obviously, I love sewing and quilting has become a passion over the past
few years. I made my very first quilt 30 years ago and then had a super long hiatus,
I'm talking about a 20 year hiatus. When my oldest was born 11 years ago, I
attempted  to sew a couple of quilts without any clue as to what I was doing!
It has only been the last 5 years that I have managed to sew more quilts and learn so
much by way of the internet and the scores of amazing blogs out there.
I have recently been part of the blog hop world and I am involved with a
Doll Quilt Swap that has been loads of fun.
*
I also enjoy
reading murder mysteries,
 watching murder mysteries,
the styles of the the 1920s and 30s,
and
almost every type of music out there!
*
Thank you, Marlene, for allowing me to share in the chatter over the fence today.
Thank you to those that pop in for a visit, I hope you drop back often.
*
HAPPY STITCHING!

THIS IS FRIGHTENING ! BE AWARE !

MY SISTER-IN-LAW EMAILED ME THIS TODAY,
PLEASE READ ON...
*
Latest scam............BEWARE  LADIES !!!

A new way to abduct a female -- very scary !!!
Sunday afternoon around 5 PM, I headed into the Target. It was still light outside and I parked fairly close to the entrance. As I got out of my car and began walking towards Target, an older lady shouted to me from the passenger seat of a car about 30 feet away from me.

"Ma'am you must help me, help me please, help me Ma'am!" I looked at her in the eyes and started to walk towards her when I remembered an email my Mom had sent me a week or two ago about rapists and abductions using elderly people to lure women in.

I paused, memorized the license plate and immediately headed into Target to get a manager to come help this lady, just in case something was up.
While the woman manager headed out there, I kept a close watch just because I was curious what was wrong with the lady and wanted to be sure nothing happened.
As the Target lady walked up towards the car and got very close to the old woman in order to help her, the back door of the car flies open and a large man with a stocking cap on, jumps out and sticks a gun to the lady's stomach as he shoves her into the back of the car.
I yelled out "call 911" several times and just as I was saying
that, a policeman who happened to be on the other side of the parking lot and who, luckily had seen the entire thing happen, raced over to the car.

He was able to stop the car and arrest the male as well as the old
lady, who was involved in the scheme. By God's grace everyone was all right, including myself, although I think we were both shaken up.

Like many of you, I would not in a million years have left an elderly person who was yelling for help if it weren't for the e-mail I had read last week. So, I wanted to pass this along so you all can be aware and remember that you really can't trust anyone these days.

You just never know when something like this could happen. I would have never dreamed it to happen to me especially on a Sunday afternoon at a Target in a safe area !

It definitely was not a coincidence that my Mom sent that email just a few days before this all happened. Please, be careful and always be aware of your surroundings.

Just because you individually don't go over to help someone doesn't mean you have to leave them in trouble, but don't go ALONE, you really don't know what might be going on.
Please pass on to all ladies that you know....... thanks
This was checked with Snopes - this is true and they also use children to lure the victim!
*
I'm just passing this along to you folks,
this did not happen to my SIL, Thank God!
I don't want it to happen to any of us!
