We did it,
we braved the -31C with winds,
we braved the crowds, there were certainly more folks out compared to other years,
and we rolled into bed at 4:30 this morning only to have about 3 hours of sleep.
The only thing that totally escapes me,
and this could have some close connection to
grocery shopping at 2:00 in the morning,

was we /I forgot the turkey!
Yep! Completely forgot until we were more than
halfway home! Mr was going to go back into the city on Monday to pick up my gift
and a turkey..."honey, that's a great idea however it's still going to be frozen
Christmas morn!"
So off to the local grocer, with fingers crossed, this morning that they still had a gobbler!
YES!!! The last one!

Well done!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas.
Always order the turkey in advance from your local butcher. Everything else pretty well comes from our grocery store, but the turkey is fresh from the butcher and he opens Christmas Eve morning so we don't have to make space in the fridge for it for days on end. Hope you have a wonderful Christmas and that the turkey is a good one.
ReplyDeleteHope you find your turkey! Either way, Im sure your Christmas will be magical.
ReplyDeleteHappy holidays,
