Twas the Night Hop

Madam Samm and Marlene's Twas the Night Hop
has got to be one of, if not, the best Hop I've been involved with yet!
Thank you ladies for this swap hop, what a wonderful idea.

My "Twas the Night" swap is from Marlene of  Stitchin By The Lake.

A festive trio of pouches. One for my sunglasses,

and these two I will use for my cross stitch and some other sewing supplies.
Thank you, Marlene. They're perfect.

Now to show you what I've been up to at my sewing machine.
I've been "elfing" along with needle and thread to make some of these
SUPER FAST MUG RUGS
very charm pack friendly!

Grab some glass beads and a piece of chain to make a scissor fob!

Jewelry pouches make a great gift

and have loads of space.
You'll find plenty of tutorials online.

Hot pads are a great staple to have on hand for hostess gifts.

A mini pin cushion (made using a bottle cap) and a needlebook.

Box pouches for everyone on your list.
Great travel kits or sewing kits or for the sock knitter on your list.

Now see what these lovely ladies gave and received:
sew.darn.quilt  that's me :)

HAPPY STITCHING TO ALL AND TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT :)

  14. Carolyn I keep eyeing those box pouches and thinking I'd like to try them....I bet they would make wonderful gifts! I've made about 10 hot pads in the last few days, some for myself, but adding others to my gift basket so I'm certainly thinking like you! My favorite was your jewelry pouch. I was traveling for a few days recently and had the hardest time keeping up with jewelry and keeping things untangled so I'll check out Pinterest for that tutorial - great ideas today Carolyn! blessings, marlene

I have found that mug rugs are not only a good stash buster, but they are nice to have around the house (I prefer them over coasters). Merry Christmas, Carolyn!
