My day has finally come and to share it with such esteemed company
does my heart proud ( and I'm so very nervous ).
My journey to this day was quite a roller coaster ride and if it wasn't for
Katherine and Madame Samm I wouldn't be here!
Thank you both for understanding my plight.
Thirdly, I need to say another big
Thank You to
Willie of SUGAR CAROUSEL on Etsy!
All of you are amazing and made it all come together in the 11th hour!

You all ROCK!!!!

For some weird reason the phrase from both Batman and (if you're a fan of The Big Bang Theory)
Sheldon's line in one of the shows
*
*
"I'm Batman"
kept running through my mind every time I cast my eyes in the direction of this fabric,
so I did the only thing I could do...
*
*
The lining represents the jail attire of the nemesis Batman would foil
all in a days work.
I love the way it turned out and my boys think it's "epic"
(that's very good).

*
Next, a purse that's more traditional/classic with this delicate floral lining.
I really liked the tutorial for the construction of these purses but I
did do a little modification on the inside, I cut the fleece 1/4" smaller than
the exterior and interior fabrics which made if easier and neater for turning
and hand stitching to the frame (not as much bulk).
*
*
It reminds me of a little valise of a carpetbagger.
*
*
My final coin purse is a reflection of the flower power days!
How groovy is this print?
This is my tribute to the
"UR Priceless Blog Hop"
because Madame Samm's hops are so FUN
and we just LOVE being a part of them!

*
I have a confession to make, I only have 1 frame!
Yep, I stitched the frame onto a purse took my pics, removed the frame and stitched it on the next purse.
I'm sure this makes me some kind of clinical something or other!

ReplyDeleteWow well done, what a great bunch of purses
ReplyDeleteVery cute. Nice job.
ReplyDeleteSuch a wild and wide variety. It shows how different you can make these little purses just with fabric choice. GREAT work!
ReplyDeleteCarolyn they're all beautiful but I bet you have folks fighting over Batman! blessings, marlene
ReplyDeleteRosemary B here:
ReplyDeleteClinically brilliant. You did not have to confess that hahahahahahaaaa
I adore the fabrics of each of these purses
Thank you so much for sharing your creativity
Hilarious! But very practical! Thanks for sharing
ReplyDeleteCarolyn, you rock! You're Batman, a beautiful owner of a carpetfabric purse and a lovely flowerpowerwoman! I love your post, I adore your coin purses and I love your way of showing three complete purses with one handle! Thanks for doing it all in the 11th hours, you are the best!
ReplyDeleteI love your "confession" - what dedication to the hop! Thanks for sharing all your lovely creations!!
ReplyDeleteWell, you certainly need to buy a few more frames because all of those purses are so cute! They deserve to be completed! Great job!
ReplyDeleteGreat fabric choices on your purses. Congratulations having one of your purses as one of the picks of the day too.
ReplyDeleteToo, too, fun! I love Big Bang, and love your purses!
ReplyDeleteI love them all, great job!
ReplyDeleteEach one is wonderful!!! Great job.
ReplyDeleteHi!! Love them!!! Love the confession too!!! Sheldon cracks me up!!! This hop was a BIG BANG!!! Thanks for the fun!!!
ReplyDeleteCarolyn-I appreciate your tip about cutting the batting smaller-it makes sense that it would therefore be easier to sew. It's always a let-down for me on the last day of the blog hop as I so look forward to the inspiration and great projects. Thanks for sharing and I hope you get more frames as it seems like such a bother to remove the fabric and then sew another one. The Joann's that I happened to be in had so many choices, I picked the small and medium sized one and now I just need to get Madame Samm's pattern and I'll be set.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you made it, even if you did have to reuse the same frame over and over (such hard work is appreciated).
ReplyDeleteI love love your batman purse. But all purses are so darn cute. Thanks for sharing
ReplyDeleteFun projects, thanks for sharing...yay for Batman :)
ReplyDeleteHi, Batman; you did say you were Batman, right? Ha! I'm so glad you were able to post. Great purses and thanks for the lining tip.
ReplyDeleteI love your flower power bag. It takes me back! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeletesew... only one frame? your commitment is certainly noteworthy!
ReplyDeletelovely bag, fun bag, every one a finished bag!
One frame? You are way more dedicated than I would have been. I love them all, but your Batman bag is very, very "epic."
ReplyDeleteSuper Fantastic, Batman! and oh my! what??? only one frame! Wowza! That was a lot of work to sew on and cut off and sew on and cut off... I hope that you will be able to get more frames so that all the purses will be set to go :o)
ReplyDeleteBlessings & Aloha!
I am home from visiting our first little grandbaby! Wish I could have stayed longer! But I am trying now to catch up with all the wonderful posts on this blog hop. Yay! I am caught up now, so am here with my visit!
Your "confession" made me laugh! You did a fantastic job! Thanks for sharing. I love all of them!
ReplyDeleteGreat coin purses! Love the Batman fabric. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI would say these purses are all epic! You are a dedicated hop participant. Now you need more frames to finish these lovelies (again).
ReplyDeleteI hope you get more frames soon sew that you can enjoy each of your creations
ReplyDeletein stitches
Oh, my goodness, can't believe you did that. They are all great. I really like the Batman one. thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThose are wonderful purses! Here's hoping that you get more frames soon so you can make all of them at once! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteGirl, YOU are magical! Love those purses, and I can't believe you redid the frame on each new project. LOL Great job!
ReplyDeletelol. Those babies can be tough to sew on sometimes. You get a gold star for that! Really cute purses. The Batman is priceless.
ReplyDeleteOnly one frame?! That is hysterical! You'd better get some more, because all of those purses are winners!
ReplyDeleteLOL and OMG on only having one frame! You really went way above and beyond for the blog hop! Congrats on making one of the top three as you really deserve it:) Thanks for sharing your story and that cup of yummy.
ReplyDeleteHI HI Carolyn...I love each one of them...really nice to have something for boys..you have given me smiles that lasted the day...good for you to be creative with one handle..YOU are a gem lol
ReplyDeleteLove that you made a coin purse for boys. It's all in the fabric choice! Your confession made me smile. You made do and that is a good thing. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteCreative is our middle name! love that you've shared your purses with one frame only. Thanks for sharing a really nice collection.
ReplyDeleteCute fabric. Congrats on being one of the chosen.
ReplyDeleteThese are wonderful and I think the batman one is just plain fun! You are so funny to have sewn the same handle of each of the purses. I don't know if I would have done that. (Does that make me lazy?) Anyway, thanks for sharing your creations with us today.
ReplyDeleteAs usual I am NEVER disappointed in your creations. YOU, my friend, ARE the BATMAN who found a way to conquer the evil shipping villans! What one can do when being held captive is awesome! Such cute purses! and only one frame!
ReplyDeleteI am never disappointed in your creations either.. I didnt do this hop but tried the purses before.. no patients for it.. waiting to see what you do with your new frames..
ReplyDeleteSeriously cute! I know the Batman coin purse would've caught my sons fancy too - what a fun fabric.
ReplyDeleteAdmiring your determination to not let one frame stop you from creating such fantastic coin purses, Carolyn. Super clever! ;o)
Carolyn, I missed your purses during the hop...they are adorable! And you are one committed quilter to put them together against all odds. Gorgeous little treasures!
